Connecting mind and body
- Training in Jow Ga works on two levels
First Level : physical training
- Physical conditioning is designed to strength both
the arms and legs to develop strong stances and powerful hand techniques.
- Benefits - increased fitness, speed, flexibility and coordination.
Second Level: development of internal power
- Development of internal
power comes through the practice of series of isometric
and dynamic tension exercises, which can be found
in the Jow Ga sets.
- Benefits -stress release, greater self confidence,control, discipline and self worth.
The combined benefit of developing both levels
- When the internal power is coupled with the
external power, the Jow Ga practitioner becomes a formidable opponent.
- This type of training enables the
practitioner to develop power throughout their entire body.
